@ Springhill Winter Park

Together with support from the Oakbank RCMP Springhill has initiated the “Lock It Or Lose It” Awareness Month.

Springhill is taking major steps to help prevent theft at our area. Including the current or future use of:

24 Hour Monitored Closed Circuit Video Surveillance, Random equipment checks (using Canada wide stolen equipment description and serial number lists), Vehicle checks, GPS equipped equipment bait, Security, Random security checks on persons leaving the area, Police dispatch, Etc.

How Can You Help?

Report any suspicious activity to area management. Or provide any information you may have to Springhill or Oakbank RCMP on any previous thefts, Springhill may offer a cash reward to the person who provides information that leads to the conviction and arrest of a Springhill related equipment theft. Information can be sent to security@springhillwinterpark.com Note your identity does not have to be revealed.

Lets face it, it could happen to you! Here are some tips to help prevent your equipment from getting stolen:

  1. BUY A LOCK (And Lock Up Your Equipment)

Its a small price to pay and the most effective way to deter thieves from targeting your equipment

  1. WATCH YOUR EQUIPMENT

Use the buddy system, Make sure you or your buddy always has an eye on your equipment at all times

  1. STORE YOUR EQUIPMENT IN DESIGNATED EQUIPMENT RACKS Preferably using a lock, Keep your equipment in the racks where you can see it from inside where you are sitting

  1. RECORD YOUR DESCRIPTION AND SERIAL NUMBER

The most effective way to help recover your stolen equipment is to provide a picture and serial number of it to Springhill and the Police

  1. ENGRAVE YOUR NAME

Not all equipment has serial numbers so a good idea is to engrave your name and phone number in an inconspicuous place on the equipment so it can be identified later if recovered
